Everything was really good I had the fish and chips very fresh it was as a beautiful day outside so we sat out on the patio to dine and enjoy the view of the water and people

Sunday afternoon happy hour on the patio. Pleasantly surprised to find live music to go with our water view. After a bumpy start waiting a long time in the hallway to get seated, and and another very long wait to eventually be greeted by a server, things went better. The ginger margarita was a wonderful unique drink. Spouse had a Stella on draft. Because I don't resist local flavors, I ordered the Michigan cherry salad and added steak. The salad was huge, the dried cherries were plentiful and the steak was perfectly medium and sliced over the top. We shared the greens, while I ate the meat. The salad dressing was a brilliant pink from cherry juice and both sweet and savory in a good way. Spouse had a pepperoni pizza and it was excellent. A really nice wood fired crust. After dinner, we took our drinks in plastic cups to walk by the lake. I would recommend spending your Sunday here anytime!

A response to the latest review by "Alex W" His post: Today, when I ordered something carry out, I was very disappointed to see that gratuity was already included. In this situation, who does that tip go to? The hostess? The manager? I do not appreciate not getting a choice in the matter, ESPECIALLY when rumors have been going around that the manager/owner already takes tips. I do not recommend going here if you want to support your wait staff properly. My response since I'm unable to leave it below his review: As a server at the Windjammer Bar and Grill, I can personally attest that 100% of all tips goes to staff. Not the managers, and certainly not the owners. As a matter of fact, they make sure to go out of their way to make sure we are fully and properly paid. It's an insult to them and the staff here that you'd even assume you know what your talking about. They do more than most places would ever when taking care of their staff, I might add; that they treat as their own family. The people who started those rumors, were just disgruntled ex staff who want to do anything they can to try and hurt the owners, because they are aware the way we are taken care of here, won't ever be able to be matched somewhere else. They burned those bridges and don't care who gets hurt in the crossfire of their own drama. If you don't believe it, then maybe you could scrape up the courage to come in here yourself and ask the real staff instead of hiding behind that screen of yours. Your review only hurts the servers and bartenders here, and you're clearly unaware of the topic you brought to the reviews. Side note: Dooordash and Ubereats also throws in an autograt to every bill that is shown before you even check out which is the same way ours is presented. Along with many other restaurants. This is not a new concept, it's in place to make sure the staff get taken care of, which you seem to have trouble with. So, if you really have a problem with this concept by all means, please come in here and any of the staff, including myself, will be able to tell you exactly where that tip goes. But since you decided to take it to the reviews rather than speak to us in person, I doubt to see you in here to discuss this matter like an adult.

Love everything on the menu here great selection of drinks. Great view of the harbor service is outstanding and the food is normally pretty good.

Service in the restaurant was quick, accurate, and efficient. Grace was a delight. Food was tasty, temperature was spot on, portions were adequate; it was a bit pricey. But, the view out on the river was spectacular. The restaurant does have indoor and outdoor seating. Afterwards, we ventured inside the bar. The bartender (didn't catch his name), was knowledgeable of the current beers on tap. The establishment has a "Bottoms Up" system. It fills your glass from the bottom up. Bonus, once finished, you can keep the magnet.

Wasn't sure what this place would be like after seeing it only rated 3 stars. It was probably the best restaurant experience we've had in a long time. The food was great, the staff was all on point with great service, and the view was so nice. Didn't get a picture of the chocolate mouse cake but it was the BEST and perfect ending for my birthday

The atmosphere is really comfortable and inviting. Family friendly service. The food options we had were great. My favorite was the raw oysters. Everything was seasoned well and had great flavor.cant wait to go on a summer day to enjoy the outdoor seating.
